Calcium Hydroxyapatite face contouring
It is a filler which is used to fill skin depletions, based on micro-sphers of hydroxyapatite suspended in a high water content gel carrier. After application of the formula, its particles create a scaffolding at the place of injection which stimulates growth of natural collagen fibers. The effect of the treatment lasts on average for approximately 18 months after which their degradation occurred.

PRE-TREATMENT RECOMMENDATIONS
There is no need for any recommendations before the treatment. To avoid bruising, a week before the treatment, stop using aspirin, anti-inflammatory drugs and other medications that reduce blood clotting (e.g. extract from Ginko biloba). Patients with recurring cold ought to start taking aciclovir in a preventive dose two days before the treatment.
Step-by-step treatment description
It is a minimally invasive treatment. Patient may be given a local anesthesia to numb the area prior to the injection. Many filler folmulas contain also lidocaine, a mild anesthetic, which is intended to help to minimize the feeling of discomfort during and after treatment.
A precise amount of Calcium particles (crystals) is injected strategically into the skin using a very thin needle or flexible cannula.
