COURSE OF THE TREATMENT

The treatment consists of injecting stabilized hyaluronic acid (Restylane Vital, Restylane Vital Light) into the skin in all areas of the face and body, where it is required to supplement moisturizing and strengthen the skin. Hyaluronic acid is administered intradermally and / or subcutaneously under local anesthesia using cannulas or thin needles. Most procedures using Restylane Vital / Restylane Vital Light are performed by the use of flexible cannulas. Regardless of whether we use a needle or a cannula, the effects of the treatments are the same. Due to its blunt ending, the cannula guarantees the safety of the procedure and gives a better chance of avoiding bruises at the injection site. During a treatment, 1-2 ml of the formula is given, depending on the condition of the skin of a patient. To get a satisfying effect, it is necessary to perform a series of three treatments every 3-4 weeks. Nevertheless, after the very first treatment the skin improves becoming softer and plumping out fine lines. In the first days after the treatment, the patient may experience a slight swelling associated with the intensive absorption of water by hyaluronic acid. After the treatment, the skin is not only better moisturized, but also gradually stimulates the production of collagen, which is why after a few weeks the effect of filling, thickening and firming the skin is achieved. During the treatments using Restylane Vital / Restylane Vital Light a natural rejuvenation effect is obtained.

 

PRE-TREATMENT RECOMMENDATIONS

There is no need for any recommendations before the treatment. To avoid bruising, a week before the treatment, stop using aspirin, anti-inflammatory drugs and other medications that reduce blood clotting (e.g. extract from Ginko biloba). Patients with recurring cold ought to start taking aciclovir in a preventive dose two days before the treatment.

 

POST-TREATMENT RECOMMENDATIONS

The sun exposure without protective filters as well as the use of a sauna or solarium for a minimum of two weeks is not recommended. In the case of bruises occurrence, medications such as Auriderm, Lioton 1000, Reparil may be used to speed up the healing process.
