Step-by-step treatment description
Treatment consist of injecting cross-linked formulation, using fine cannula, for example Restylane Volyme. It is injected deeper into the skin to allow to lift the mid-region of the face as well as the chickbones to healthy, savour youthful appearance as long as possible, by filling lines and wrinkles and adding volume. Volyme dermal fillers offer versatile solutions to address patient’s individual needs in a number of areas of the face. It provides natural volumization, restoring age related volume loss. The final stage of the treatment is a gentle massage of the treated area to evenly distribute the formula. Directly after the treatment, the skin treated with injections may be red and swollen and the patient experiences a feeling of warmth. The above mentioned lesions persist for several days. Directly after the injected sites treatment, mild swellings and erythema may also occur. The above symptoms are self-limiting within a matter of days.
PRE-TREATMENT RECOMMENDATIONS
There is no need for any recommendations before the treatment. To avoid bruising, a week before the treatment, stop using aspirin, anti-inflammatory drugs and other medications that reduce blood clotting (e.g. extract from Ginko biloba).Patients with recurring cold ought to start taking aciclovir in a preventive dose two days before the treatment.
POST-TREATMENT RECOMMENDATIONS
The sun exposure without protective filters as well as the use of a sauna or solarium for a minimum of two weeks is not recommended. In the case of bruises occurrence, medications such as Auriderm, Lioton 1000, Reparil may be used to speed up the healing process.
